Introduction to Healthy Eating
Most people want to eat healthy. It may be a New
Year resolution. Some want to reduce weight. Some start healthy eating upon doctor's advice. In short, Today's people are more knowledgeable about eating healthy. More people begin eating with a balanced choices of protein, vegetables and fruits.
Vegetables
Vegetables such as spring mix, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, radish, spinach, romaine, green, red, yellow and orange peppers, carrots, red and white onions, are very rich in phytonutrients, such as antioxidants, vitamins, minerals. These beautiful phytonutrients also have good flavors and scent on top of their attractive colors. They are excellent food with great benefits for your body.
Just a friendly reminder for those who eat fresh vegetables, wash and clean them thoroughly at least couple of times. When you take vegetarian salads, use plain vinegar and olive oil only. The tasty dressings such as French dressing, Italian dressing, Greek dressing, Sesame Thai, Balsamic, Caesar dressings are healthy for the body. They contain too much calories in the first place, they may also contain preservatives, food dyes, additives which are harmful to your health.
Fruits
Apples, orange, mandarin, pine apples, strawberries, cherries, blue berries, rich in phytonutrients. They are the excellent sources for antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. If you want your body feel good and healthy, start eating more fruits staring from today.
Remember to clean and peel the skin of the fruits before you eat them. They may contain wax, insecticides and other chemicals which are toxic to your body.
Raw Vegetables vs Cooked Vegetables
Raw vegetables have far more nutrients and vitamins than the cooked vegetables. It is the the cooking process which destroys some of the nutrients. The most important nutrients being destroyed by cooking are the enzymes. They are essential for people's vitality. That is the reason why after taking fresh vegetables salad say for one week your body would feel good. You would fee fully charged with vitality and your body fully energized.
Proteins
Proteins are the body builders. They are essential for the body growth and mechanism. Sources of proteins are the lean meats of pork, beef, mutton and chicken, White meats are better to the body health. Too much red meat is no good. They may increase the blood urea level in your body and cause discomfort and pain in the body especially the big muscles and small joints. Fishes are the best sources for proteins. Other sources of proteins are beans, peas, eggs, sweet potatoes, milk and other dairy produces such as cheese and yogart.

Main Ingredients
Spring mix wash clean, repeat washing for couple of times to ensure they are clean. Then add the following:
* chick beans
* kidney beans
* cherry tomatoes
* green/green olives
* sliced cucumbers
* red/green peppers
* sliced radish
* broccalis
* cauliflowers
* sliced red onions
* shredded carrots
* sliced almonds
* sunflower seeds
* raisins
* shred cheddar cheese
grilled chicken (julian)1
Salad dressing :
* red wine vinegar
* oliver oil
Mix all ingredients in a big bowl with the dressings. It is now ready to serve.
